Before coming to Stein, Lotzkar and Starr, Elissa Brine
worked as a public defense attorney in Snohomish County, Washington.
In that position, she worked in all areas of misdemeanor public
defense and counseled clients with expedited misdemeanors (felonies
filed in district court).
Elissa believes that each of her clients deserve a
zealous and ethical defense. Each case is individual and she works
to resolve cases in a manner that works best for the specific situation
each client faces. She has taken many of her cases to trial and
won several not guilty verdicts or dismissals pre-trial. |
Most recently, she received a not-guilty verdict in an Assault
IV trial and a dismissal on a Hit & Run Attended.
In her spare time, Elissa enjoys spending time with her son Sean, her
husband Tam and her dog Brody and completing endurance sporting events.
In 2001, she completed the Athens to Atlanta inline skate half-marathon.
In 2003, she completed the Seattle Marathon and in 2004, Elissa race walked
in the Boulder Backroads half-marathon. She plans to finish the STP bike
ride in 2008 with her son and husband watching on.
